In the end of a hard week nothing beats a pamper evening. Just a night to relax & invest the time your body needs in a rich hot bath. To relax those muscles, enrich your skin & unwind your mind.
I know most people love making their pamper bath on Sundays, but here in Israel, Sunday is just another workday, and by experience this first day of the week can be quite hectic, but comes thursday and oh my lord.! All day long, every little malfunction that comes by I take myself a small breath and whisper, just a 5 more hours, just 4 more hours, just 3 more hours, just 2, and 1…
And than comes home with all its might and glory and i just know in that moment that the work week is over and I can finally relax and unwind, and nothing beats a good relaxation than a hut bubble bath, especially if you own a Jacuzzi 🙂
I am a proud advocate for the Oil Cleaning Method, but I do like to change it up once a week with a rich Cleansing Balm, for this I like using the Eve Lom Cleansing Balm and message it on my face for at least 5 minutes just to get rid of all that gunk. After that i add just a tiny bit of water and continue messaging my face for another minute or too, the texture than turn white and an a tiny bit foamy. To wash off I use damp hot Muslin Cloth and just let it rest on my skin for as long as I want, hec it’s the weekend. After that I run myself a bath with a mixture of Lush’ Sparkly Pumpkin Bubble Bar (Halloween Limited Edition) and a couple of tablespoons of The Bathory Detox Mixture, my own concoction of Frankincense, Bergamot and Sandalwood – Just to some more minerals to that oh so bubbly bath to make my skin especially smooth. If you havent heard of The Bathory its basically a DYI bath salts shop that lets you Invent your own bath soak, and is in fact, pretty cool.
For face mask I love using either Lush’s Mask Of Magnaminty or Michael Todd’s Pumpkin Mask, both incredible. I’ve already mentioned Mask of Magnaminty in my October Favourites, but the Michael Todd Pumpkin Mask is kind of an old favourite. This is one of my go to mask for almost two years(!). It’s not really suitable for sensitive skin as it does tingle quite a bit (You really have to patch test it before applying it to your face). It is a great exfoliant, especially on breakouts, and cleans out your pores brilliantly while making your skin glow. I usually take a book with me and soak in the tub for at least half an hour, to soak all its goodness in and bask in its mightiness 🙂
All of this is usually followed by me staying in my bathrobe for WAY too long and camping on the sofa with a nice cup of tea, yum yum yum
So whats your favourite weekend pamper routines?
