Why Autumn Is The Bee’s Knees…
The change of the weather and the beautiful array of bronze and orangey leafs are only several of the reasons why autumn is my favorite season. I was born in the midst of September. An outstanding and obvious sign of a typical Virgo. I was born right when the weather starts to shifts it gears from a sticky summer to a windy leaf blowing paradise. Every year, just when My Birthday comes, I sit and wait in anticipation for the first raindrop to hit my windowpane. And true enough, every year, on the week of my birthday, and If I’m truly luck on that very day, the first drop hits the ground and with it comes that amazing petrichor smell.
For me autumn means renewal. Autumn is a new year. Autumn brings growth and life, and avocados, and strawberries. Autumn is just there to greet you after a long long day and tap you on the shoulder with an orangey leaf or even two.
And even if we just take all the mementoey mumbo jumbo of me crushing on autumn here, lets just sum the facts here shall we?
Autumn is the time of the new season and I mean that in the most literal way possible. September brings with it new seasons of some of the best shows on tv. Should I say American Horror Story again?
Autumn Is the time of baking, and Tea, and all this cinnamony nutmegy vanillaey oh so sweet wonders you just adore. I don’t know about you, but Cinnamon is literally my life. I put it in my chocolate milk, in my tea. in my oatmeal, homemade granola and just about anything. And this time of year, makes it even better.
The snuggling, the comfy blankets and sweaters. The sweatpants and flannel pajamas. For my Taste, there is seriously nothing comfier then that snuggilicious goodness. Who wants to wear swimming suits and short dresses that rise up every second and have you checking on probably every 5 minutes once those comfy jumpers are in sight?
And finally, even though I keep pushing myself to try new things, In my heart I will forever be and introvert and love me some alone time. And when its raining outside you just get to stay home, put on some low tunes and finally catch up on that book you’ve been dying to finish, because you literally have the best excuse ever.
