Why being alone on Valentine’s Day doesn’t necessarily suck

Natalie Alice Zigdon1 comment

In case none  of you had the time to notice all the hearts and red chocolates surrounding everything that used to have any monochromatic clue, Valentine’s Day is just around the corner. And if you’re like me and still haven’t met the man (or woman) of your dreams, you might be feeling utterly miserable as a reminder of your loneliness echos when every glimpse of a red heart invades your view. So yeah, being alone on the big V-Day might not be the greatest of things, but I’m here to tell you it doesn’t necessarily have to suck. Hec, it might just even be one of the best days you’ll have this week.

Valentine’s Day Gift Ideas; The Geeky edit

Natalie Alice Zigdon9 comments

First of all, before starting pointing that finger everywhere about using the “G” word out there. Geeks can use it as much and often as they do and as a person who wears the geeky title quite proudly I feel quite obliged to do so . Now I know alot of girls actually hate those kind of stuff. Some might not even know who Thor is, so I thought I’ll gather up some nice Valentine’s Day gifts to suit your geeky guy’s palette. And yes, I admit it. I kinda want some of the stuff here for myself.

I know, I know I’m really late to the punch here but I have been trying to avoid computer time so for me it just mean yay! I made it!
Since I am really more of a life enthusiast I thought I’ll just get rid of my beauty category bit and just add everything I thought was plain awesome during this last month, so let’s get to the jist of it, shall we?

The No WiFi Experiment

Natalie Alice Zigdon1 comment

I have been so so bad lately, failing to even get a glimpse of my little rainy haven here and I am so terribly sorry about it people but I promise, it was not without reason.
For the last couple of weeks I have been sick with the flu, babysitted my nephews and nieces and got back to a week packed full of delayed work stuff so as a rule I promised to let my body rejoice without meddling too much and decided to stop touching my computer every tiny second. Conclusion? It can be hard – you know what? Scartch that. It can be very hard but as most worthwhile stuff are, it’s not without its perks 🙂
Now my day-to-day non bloggery job is everything techy and computery so it was obviously not altogether absolute but for this addict here it was an absolute big deal. Trust me, you’ll be surprised how much more you can do once you turn of your WiFi off for 2 weeks 🙂

Vegan Pecan Lotus “Cheesecake”

Natalie Alice Zigdon19 comments

I have been a vegetarian for most of my life, but have only recently turned Vegan. Though it appears that recent changes did nothing to affect my sweet tooth as my cravings don’t seem to subside as easily. Now I have always loved cheesecake, I mean seriously, who doesn’t? So when my niece turned out to be lactose Intolerant I figured I’ll go all out and made up this bad boy right here, and to be frank? This Saturday morning was the test run and half a cake had managed to disappear in only one sitting. And nobody, and I do mean nobody, could have guessed that it wasn’t the “cheesy” kind of cheesecake. So if you’re looking for a vegan delight, you should definitely give this a try 🙂

Things My Mother Taught Me

Natalie Alice Zigdon16 comments

I grew up with four older brothers, so being quite obviously the only girl around I became incredibly close to my mother, so close friends literally started calling us the Gilmore Girls. So like every mother and daughter duo, my mom, to this day, inevitably narrates certain part of my life so I just thought it would be nice to share some of the stuff she taught me throughout the years that I, to this day, don’t regret even in the slightest

The Hype Debate – GlamGlow ThirstyMud Hydrating Treatment – Yay or Nay?

Natalie Alice Zigdon13 comments

If you’ve been anywhere near the beauty blogosphere chances are you probably heard about he GlamGlow masks. If by any chances you didn’t, they are pretty much an expensive brand of high-end as who supposedly does wonders for the skin and has already gained some major cult status. To be frank, I wasnt too kin on spending 49 Pounds on a face mask, simply because  it sounded pretty expensive, but when the sales came marching in, and my face started its usual winter dryness I thought it might be an excellent excuse to give their ThirstyMud Hydrarting Treatment a go. Just for reference my skin is Combination to normal, it’s usually fairly normal but can occasionally be oiler around the T zone, but since the winter cold has come its seems the air conditioning flaked it up quite a bit.

The Liebster Award

Natalie Alice Zigdon

This post is going to be slightly different from my usual rambly dambly ones, not that its gonna be short of rambles because that is just the sort of awkward person that I am.For those of you who might not know what it is, a Liebster award is an award given from one blogger to another, usually to blogs with less than 200 follower, and is just a fun and great way to improve recognition and get acquainted with new blogs or bloggers.
